White and brown initials on blue and gold grounds at beginning of books, fol. 109ff.

The rest red with mauve and blue with red penwork.

Binding

Polished and diced brown leather over pasteboards, the upper cover stamped in gilt with the Coke crest; the spine lettered in gilt 'MICHÆLIS | DE | BONONIA | SENTENTIÆ | ET | DIVISIONES' and 'MS | SEC. XIV', and with the number '161' at the bottom.

History

Origin: Italian, Bologna (?); early 15th century, in part c. 1414

Provenance and Acquisition

The erasures at the end of the works probably covered the date and place of writing; those on fols. 140v and 153v include the date 1414.
