Provenance and Acquisition

Summary Catalogue nos. 30328-30332 (Gr. misc. 282, 284-7 = MSS. Auct. T. 5. 20, Auct. T. 5. 22-5) were acquired together with S.C. 28475 (Misc. 283 = MS. Auct. T. 5. 21) from Payne and Foss in 1840 for £3 3s. (see Summary Catalogue V p.789). Lambros, op. cit., p. cxi argued that Misc. 282-7 were originally a single manuscript, with the date 1515-16 (cf. Jeffreys and Jeffreys, op. cit., p. 126) on Misc. 283, fol. 120v. The same folio has the ex libris of Zigaïtès ‘archiereos’
